Portobello Football Club (London, UK) are in search of a qualified Assistant Football Manager to join the Club's coaching team.

Portobello FC, were the 23/24 Champions of the Middlesex County Football League, Division 2, and have been promoted to Division 1!

Portobello FC, aka 'The Peacocks' are a well-run, competitive, social football club. The Club has been covered by GQ Italia, NSS Magazine, and SoccerBible. The Club has also previously worked with Classic Football Shirts and other retailers.

As a Football Coach, you will be responsible for designing and implementing training programs, coaching players during matches, and providing feedback to enhance team and individual performances.

Preseason for Portobello FC begins Monday 1st July 2024.

During the season, training will take place on a top-tier floodlit 3G pitch (1/2 pitch, 90 minute session) on Monday evenings in Greenford (walking distance from Greenford Station, Central Line).

Our Home Ground is London Marathon Playing Fields in Greenford (again, walking distance from Greenford Station, Central Line). The team plays on Saturday afternoons (approx. 2pm KO).

Availability for match-days, home and away (West London), and training sessions is essential. As the Assistant Manager, you are a key part to the success of the team on the pitch. This is a great opportunity to further develop your coaching ability at a Club that focuses on sustainable growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading training sessions.
  • Leading pre-match warm-up activities.
  • Managing equipment for training sessions and match-days.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • UEFA C Licence.
  • Experience coaching competitive, adult mens football.
  • Strong knowledge of football tactics, techniques, and training methods.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for developing players' skills and fostering a positive team culture.
  • In-date First Aid qualification.
